Hepatitis b vaccine for a newborn, wth?
i have a one month old and his doctor is telling me he needs this vaccine, why in the world does my child need a vaccine for a std? i live in pennsylvania and i want to reject them giving this to him because he is too young and i think its pointless, can i get away with saying no? what are the laws on rejecting to give your kids vaccines? are there parents here who have had their babies vaccinated for this?but hepatitis b? ? theres got to be some hidden agenda in most of these, ulterior motives for doctors, i say theres money to be made giving these useless shots at the expense of our children....

Drop of coffee splashed newborns face!?
A splash of freshly made coffee hit my three week old near her eye and she started crying. I wiped it off immediately, calmed her and gave her her pacifier and she seems fine but I'm worried about her skin eye. My shih tzu Dot gave birth to 4 healthy pups on feb 15. But now one of them as fallen ill and I don't know what to give her. We can't go out and get formula or goat milk cause my moms car broke down today plus, trying to give her nipple milk has been a pain in the butt. Is it bad for a newborn to be leaving the house everyday, and never sleeping in his own bed?
My sister has recently had a baby, and she takes him everywhere I honestly don't think its good for him, especially because he has been having stomach anyway. I just want to know if she should stop going everywhere with him, and just stay at home.

Would inducing too early cause lung complications for a newborn?
A friend had a due date of feb 18 approx of course and she had no health problems for the dr. To have any reason to induce. He induced her 8 days before her due date and the babys lungs were not developed. He is in nicu and doing better, but he has been fighting for a week to survive.They are saying that the lungs not being developed were not because of the baby being born too early. Why else wld his lungs not be developed?

Why has my 12day old newborn got bad dirrhea?
my 12day old is suffering from very bad dirrhea almost like water sometimes he bum has come very sore over this....he is on formula milk SMA and has 4ounces every 3 4houres he has dirrhea every time he has a feed and inbetween.....do any1 no what might be causing this ????

Is it okay to have a puppy when you have a newborn?
I have a little puppy then we got before I found out I was pregnant she is about 7 months old now by the time I give birth she will be about 11 months old. SHe is really cuddly and amazing she doesnt bark either . However she does like to jump up on people and lick their face. I am concerned that once the baby comes she might be a concern? Most of my friends say she might be too needy and jealous of the baby. I love my puppy to death I dont want to get rid of her. Shes a fairly small dog a terrior mix .What do I do? Please help this is killing me She does like to cuddle with me and sleep with me but shes not aggressive or anything like that.

Going to see first time mom with newborn, questions?
My best friend from high school lives across the country from me. Her husband is deployed and won't be home until the baby is around 3 months old. She asked me to come see her while she's on maternity leave 6 weeks only and based on her due date and my work schedule I plan on going about 4 weeks after the due date. Last time I went to visit her she picked me up from the airport do you think she'll be up to it with a newborn? She's about a half hour away from the airport. I could take a cab if I really need to but I'm pretty sure it will be very expensive.If you were in my friend's shoes, what would you appreciate the most from me while I'm there? Cleaning, cooking, anything else? I'll be there for 4 5 days
